Indology is the study of any old or recent aspect of Indian civilization that is supported by an analysis of textual sources written in an Indian language, of iconographic sources or of any other document. Historically, since its beginnings in the XIX century, the core of Indology has consisted in the study, on strong philological bases, of the very rich existing corpus of texts written in Sanskrit, the scholarly language of India for more than two thousand years.
Ancient manuscripts are a treasure of our Country. They are an immense storehouse of untapped information that may contain solutions to many intractable diseases that burden the mankind.India possesses an estimate of five million manuscripts, probably the largest collection in the world.Despite these efforts, Very less studies & research has been done in this subject.Even though many people had published and spread his works and ideologies, not much in-depth studies have been done into this path. The exploration of this vast knowledge with a critical study on its influence on the various aspects is a need of the hour. A comprehensive work in an academic and socio religious perspective is relevant to present social situations.
